Learn to take photos
you’re proud of
The view was breathtaking. The photo? Not so much. If that sounds familiar, our photography courses will show you why – and how to fix it.
In plain language, with a camera in your hands, you learn exposure, light and composition until shooting in manual feels natural.
Don’t have the right equipment yet, or not sure photography is for you? Camera equipment can be hired by arrangement, so you can learn first and buy later – or not at all.
Lessons run in Yzerfontein, the West Coast, Swartland, Boland and Cape Town, or live on Zoom from anywhere in South Africa or the World for that matter.
Kursusse is ook in Afrikaans beskikbaar.

MEET YOUR TEACHER
Johan Dempers has been photographing since he was handed his dad’s 35mm film camera as a
boy. Since then he has worked behind the lens from the Amazon Rainforest to the Middle East – From aerial,
travel, portrait and model photography – and written the book Journey Through Many Worlds.
He teaches the way he learned: hands-on, practical and without jargon. Johan Dempers also presents PHOTO COURSES, WORKSHOPS, and TOURS – both local as well as international.Johan Dempers’ love of photography began when his dad handed him an old 35mm film camera as a boy. That camera started a journey that has taken him from the Amazon Rainforest to the Middle East, shooting everything from aerial and travel to portrait and model photography – a journey he later shared in his book Journey Through Many Worlds.
Today he passes on what he has learned the same way he learned it: hands-on, practical and without jargon. Alongside his photography courses, Johan presents workshops and photo tours, both in South Africa and abroad.
